Sound Publishing titles win big at WBNC

Congratulations to all the winners in the Washington Better Newspaper Contest presented Sept. 28 at the Better Newspaper Contest Awards Dinner in Yakima, Wash.
Judging was by the New York Press Association.
Of 2,229 entries, 432 were in Advertising, 172 in Special Sections, 1,232 in News (includes Community Service), 358 in Photography, and 35 in the Web division. Of WNPA's 103 regular members, 73 newspapers participated in the contest.
The contest period for most entries was April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012. For Tourism Special Sections, dates were June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012.
